Occassionally classes are held in Augusta or in special locations throughout Maine.

Classes are also offered in Turner and Winthrop through the adult education programs in those school systems. Adult Education classes are basic obedience and run at both locations in the spring and fall.

Group classes currently being offered include:
Puppy Dynamics & Basic Manners

Puppy Dynamics: This classes is for puppies ages 8wks
to 4 months. Some exceptions are made for toy breeds
and extremely shy dogs. This class helps socialize young
dogs and help develope the bond between puppy and
owner. In dynamics class we discuss the many issues
facing the new puppy owner; including house breaking,
barking, chewing, biting, jumping and more. The puppies
also start to learn basic obedience commands such as sit,
down, come and stay.

Basic Manners: This is the course for all dogs over 4
months. This class provides owners with the essential
theories neccessary to train their dog basic obedience. Stay,
come, heel. leave-it, and wait are just a few of the
commands covered in basic class. Other issues include
barking, dominance, jumping and responsible dog
ownership. This class is offered throughout Central Maine.
Advanced Obedience: As an ongoing drop-in class,
advanced training provides all levels of trainers and
dogs a chance to practice their skills alongside others.
Topics and focus changes from week to week
depending on who is in class. We have fun in this
class! Class is by invitation or pre-approval only. $10/night Pay at class only.
Rally Obedience Classes: Rally Obedience classes
are offered throughout the year, at all three levels. Each class is an hour and offers a history of the sport, covers all beginner and advanced signs and discusses proper ring precedure. The class is taught by an AKC Rally Judge, Donna Cassista. This class is available in Augusta and Portland.
